I could never have imagined that a day would come where I would be treated like a second class citizen in a country where my parents moved to afford us more freedom. Solely by virtue of 8 men and 1 woman, removed from the average person’s reality, this is now a country that just sees women as a vessel or an object that brings life. A country that would let a woman die in an attempt to save an unborn fetus if she’s stuck behind the wrong state lines. A country where there’s a greater chance for a miscarrying woman to go to jail than for her rapist. There is nothing pro-life about this decision. It is simply about power and control.
