He entered the home hungry and wearing ill-fitting clothes and he was obviously tired. This young man was mild mannered and graciously accepted our offer of food, new clothes, and a shower. He needed a size 12 shoe that we did not have so we gathered the necessary gift cards and information concerning the shoes that he wanted – he knew exactly! I sent pictures from the store, and he made his choice. Unfortunately, the shoe he requested was far too narrow, so back to the store we went. When he put on the second pair of shoes, he just looked at them, shook his head, and said, “Would you look at that.” When our guest left the next morning He asked, “What IS this place?” An explanation was given, and his response was, “This is a most wonderful place! She went to the store twice to get me shoes...who does that?” We do. Love is wanting what is best for someone and doing what is within one’s power to make that best happen.
