Lloyd W. Vanderpool 03/22/1933 – 04/16/2022 I finally got some time to head home and really reflect upon my grandfather’s life. He passed away unexpectedly over Easter weekend just before I was to fly out for weeks of filming. He was so influential to me early on in my childhood, and to this day he remains the closest thing to a father figure I think I’ve ever had. This man was the epitome of cool and quite honestly one of the sweetest, most interesting, and humble people I’ve had the pleasure to know. I’m so thankful for the rare occasions when he would grace us with stories of his past. Stories of how he ran away as a teenager to follow his brother out to L.A. or how he became roommates with Steve Reeves (Actor - The Original Hercules) and wound up playing an extra along side Charlton Heston in The Ten Commandments. Regardless of the hand that he was dealt, he really knew how to enjoy this crazy life. He was a decent man, who was a symbol of patience as he stayed faithfully married to my Grandma for almost 52 years! I’m grateful for the lessons he taught me whether he knew it or not. I’ll miss you till the end of time Grandpa and maybe I’ll see you again on the other side. #RestInPeace
