My fishing mentor Gerry has been visiting these two young bald eagles almost daily for months off the west end of Catalina. They now come to him when he does a special whistle, which he promptly rewards by throwing a live sardine in the water for them, even a small Bonito at times. Even when the world overwhelms, nature continues to humble me. To imagine that across a small channel of water, 10 million people are grinding out their daily lives - heartaches and grief to victory while these two bald eagles watch from their nest high on a cliff, boggles my mind. Here’s to an absolutely amazing summer 2022 everyone. 🙏🏽💙
