I recently had the pleasure of photographing and interviewing Danielle Perk, who works at a crisis hotline in St. Louis, for the @nytimes. Danielle's portrait is featured in a new column in the Sunday Opinion section called "Witness: Portraits of people living the news." . Danielle said, "I started working at the crisis hotline to help people. We get calls from people struggling with grief, anxiety, depression. Sometimes callers just need someone to talk to.
