Introducing the second part of the unseen series - Playing with Manganese. The colour of glass is determined by the presence of metallic-oxides. Manganese was often used in ancient glass making to either make glass colourless, or if used in surplus would often result in a pinky purple glass. In this batch I was interested in experimenting with oxides as a neutraliser to the impurities coming from the raw materials.
