There’s a pivotal moment in your life when you start to own who you are. That may have happened for you long ago (congrats if that’s you), but for me, that has always been scary territory. Owning who you are and loving yourself? Literally laughed at those words a year ago. I’ve been different since the day I was born and always seemed to be afraid of it for some reason. Always worried about being too different, or doing something that was out of the norm to give people ammo to judge me. Even when it came to my art, worried that I wasn’t doing enough, or more-so that I was doing too much. These flowers are like my tarot cards, they’re presented to me when I need to hear their message the most. It’s happened again, with the magnificent King Protea ✨ The protea symbolizes diversity, courage, daring, and transformation. Given as a reminder to always be courageous and to never dim down your uniqueness. This has come at such a perfect time in my life, a time that I have put all reservations and limitations aside and fully submitted to myself and my passion. I believe we are forever transforming, always changing and flowing into new versions of ourselves. This is my now and I will live it boldly with courage. This one goes out to all of my LGBTQIA+ brothers and sisters. To everyone that has paved the way for us to be who we truly are. To everyone that wakes up every day and chooses to be 100% them.
