Deeply saddened by the passing of Brian Catling. I was lucky to have known him. For any of you unfamiliar with his uncompromising body of work, there’s a good Arena documentary about him on BBC iPlayer called ‘B. Catling, where does it all come from?’. RIP Brian, I’ll never forget you halting my Holy Mountain Party by turning off all the music, attaching several rape alarms to your balaclavered face, then agonisingly pulling out each pin turning your head into a pulsating sonic scream which nearly deafened the entire crowd. “ Walking into the night, he was in control of his world.
