Growing up as a #BlackCreator in PG County Maryland wasn’t easy. There weren’t any role models that I could look to career wise, and there were little to no resources or guidance on how to be a successful creative. In fact - calling yourself a creative wasn’t even a thing up until like 3 years ago 😂😭 Because of this, I went YEARS creating whatever I could - blogs, myspace pages, logos, flyers, websites, natural hair videos you name It - not for recognition, but for passion. I just wanted to scratch that “itch”. I had no idea that all of those years of creating from a place of passion would equip me with the knowledge and expertise that has given me the ability to carve out such a unique path in this industry. I can now be what I didn’t have growing up to not only young black creators, but creators in general : a resource, a role model, and most importantly proof that you can do It too. thank you god for allowing me to be a vessel, and thank you @meta @wetheculture team for allowing me to share my story as a speaker at the first ever #blackcreatorday 🦋💕 to watch the full Q&A moderated by @darling.nola head to the video tab on my profile. i love you all and thank you so much for supporting me !!!!!!! 😘 photos by : @natacam_
