We stumbled upon this immersive theatre piece by @microenormous which was absolutely spectacular. We were led around the space, we were gifted Cacao and Mezcal, and were given a kaleidoscope necklace to view the theatre through. The performance celebrated life, death, conciousness, plant medicine, intentions, nature, and how we perceive life through our own perspective. "Each space has its own art installation that activates and stimulates the 5 senses through music, colors, lighting, images as well as the actors performance in the same space. Visitors can walk, approach and enter each space without restrictions, in an immersive theater show you become the main character." MicroEnormous. The whole performance resonated, especially the death aspect. Mexicans celebrate death wholeheartedly and arnt afraid to discuss it. Yet westerners hide from the subject and don't know how to deal with it. Which is why I've finally taken the step to become a Death Doula. To help people on their journey with death and grief.
