I started @doesntmakeanysensedoesit with the purpose of making an archive of all things I like and inspire me, however too many of those things happen to be different to makeup, so posting about it on there feels weird while having this account. Also I kinda forget to post on it tbh. So since my phone has given me too many "storage is full" warnings, I've decided to post all things beauty-related I would post on my other account on here, basically so I can delete them from my gallery but still have them somewhere. So today I present you: #early2000s beauty ads. Some are #late90s .Most of the trends that took place during that ("dark" for some) era can be seen on the first ad, starring #christyturlington: body highlighter with a kind of #holographic effect, frosty lipstick, glossy nails (basically nothing was matte?) and the infamous white bottom waterline (this was the first makeup "trick" I ever learned in my life). Unfortunately the early 2000s is not an era I lived loved and laughed to the fullest since I'm a #90sbaby, however I do remember most grown up women around me with a makeup similar to slide no. 6, which basically consisted on all brown-toned everything. Including blush. I know this is an era many would like to forget. Well, clearly not me. Lowkey hoping it makes a full comeback. From slide 1 to 7: 1. Maybelline, 2000 2. Chanel, 1997 3 & 4. Revlon, 1999 5. Guerlain, 2004 6. Dior, 2003 7. Dior, 2003 #dior #guerlain #makeup #90s #cindycrawford #revlon #chanel #chanelbeauty #beauty #ad #beautyad #vintage #fashion
