Q+A with @itstherocks founder of @tachepistachiomilk 💡What inspired you to start Táche? As a first-generation Iranian-American, pistachios have always been incredibly meaningful. With rich cultural significance in the Middle East, where pistachios have been grown for thousands of years, the crunchy green nut is also harvested in California, where I was born. In 2015, I began making pistachio milk at home as an alternative to almond milk - notably notorious for depleting massive amounts of water. What started as a passion project quickly began to fill an enormous white space in the market and we’re excited for the endless possibilities with pistachios. 🙌How do you pay it forward to support others? As part of our ethos as a female-led and founded brand, we proudly donate a portion of our profits, product, and our time to programming to the Lower Eastside Girls Club of New York to nurture the growth of underprivileged girls in our community. 👀A founder you admire is... I admire @vanessatpham of @omsom, an Asian pantry brand that taps Asian American chefs to create sauces & spices to recreate classic fishes with bold & authentic flavor kits! Her tenacious spirit as the proud daughter of Vietnamese refugees translates into her business & her drive to share her cultural experiences through her brand. It is so inspiring to see a resilient Asian American woman on a mission to build a platform that is reshaping culture & national dialogues in the food & bev industry! ✒️Our Thoughts... 1. I love that Tache has a little bit of flavor to it, it offsets the bitterness of matcha or coffee so well. It’s super versatile, a great milk alternative. I already ordered more! 2. I seriously loved Tache and can’t wait to order more. I really like pistachios so I loved the subtle pistachio flavor and it worked perfectly with the vanilla. I used it to make a matcha latte and for oatmeal and both turned out fantastic! 📷: @startupgirldaily @shojivankuzumi
