#CanonTakeover with Jo Caird (@jocairdphoto).
I have shot on Canon for almost 30 years and have a 300mm f/2.8 that is still in great working order after almost 25 years.
On game day, I typically carry two bodies and 3 or 4 lenses. If I am running up and down the sidelines (roving) at a game, then I prefer to use a 300mm but if I am stationary behind the try line then I use a 400mm.
On my second body, I either have a wide angle or the 70-200. It all depends on how close the game is, how many tries are being scored and how deep the dead ball line is – this can vary a lot from game to game. If there are trophy presentations, then I also carry a flash and a medium lens. A mono pod is always handy with the big lenses and a great bag to carry it all in.
