From the moment Nawal and Neve picked up a sword @knightsbridgefencingclub in London at the tender ages of 4 and 5 they were hooked. The passion and perseverance grew with them and under the guidance and coaching of an incredible team around them including Maestro Antonio Signorello, Simon Capon and @caitlinfoxharding @fencingnsw they proudly represent Australia. @ausfencing I am beyond proud and in complete admiration of their commitment. It hasn’t been easy. They’ve missed formals, socials, parties, weddings and countless other experiences to train and compete. We recently returned from London where the girls competed in the Commonwealth Fencing Championships. Neve came home with a Silver medal for the Junior Women’s Foil team, where they were narrowly beaten by England. Nawal came home with a Bronze medal for the Junior Women’s Épée team. Thank you to the outstanding team around them and for everyone who has cheered and supported them along the way, it certainly takes a village. @nawaloneil @neveoneil
