i am super proud to introduce you all to abby oyesam and announce her as the winner of the ‘always have a vision’ scholarship!! @aoyesam here’s a brief bio on abby and her style as an artist: “Currently I am a Junior at the Kansas City Art Institute, my work explores the intersection of African and African American culture through examination of my own experiences as being raised in a culturally divided family. Stylistically experimental, I draw inspiration from vernacular photos, sounds from the highlife era of West African music, and the urban landscape of East Side, Kansas City.
