She became obsessed with 1930s Hollywood as a small kid (same) and became a walking encyclopedia of fashion and costume history. She went on to work in theatre, ballet, and opera in New York and London before starting her line Kristinit- her Latvian name. And now, she runs this beautiful company that employs only women-owned artisans and co-ops, and a percentage of every garment sold goes to environment and animal welfare charities, as well as supporting female health rights. Like I said, she’s a wonder.
