I am celebrating seven years of living in London, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity. Some people believe that those who live overseas are either rich or have an easy, glamorous life, but this is not the whole truth. It is incredible to discover different cultures, travel around Europe/The United Kingdom, and learn another language. Every day is a new lesson. But as with everything in life, there are pros and cons, and there were days that I thought I could not handle it all... Britain has many days where the rain and cold makes me wish I was looking at the blue skies in Brazil. I often miss my family and loved ones who are still in Brazil, the affection I receive from them and the Sunday meetups. Living abroad for me is not just a matter of looking for a better life for myself and my family but also to drive me to grow up as a person, adapting and dealing with all the experiences ( good or bad) that living far from home brings me. Thank you, God, family and friends, for supporting me in my ambitions and goals. I am excited for more years in London, or wherever I may be, and the experiences that await me.
