Dear Wrestling,
What a journey it has been, all of the road trips to tournaments and camps, all of the people you have introduced me too, all of the lessons you have taught me, and all of the ups and downs to teach me the most important lesson of them all. I just want to say thank you for all that you have done for me, thank you is not enough. I will be forever grateful for this grueling and amazing sport. The most important 2 things I have learned through wrestling are 1. Stay Humble, and 2. Keep showing up even on the days where you don’t feel like it.
To my Edinboro family, I want to thank you so much for allowing me to be apart of the team and culture for my final season and I could not be more satisfied with my decision. Obviously it is not the way I wanted to end my season, but just making it to NCAA’s for the first time is pretty awesome in itself. I want to give a special thanks to Coach Hill and Coach Schopp for giving me the endless love and support while also pushing me to my max, 2 of the best people I have ever met. And thank you to my teammates who have been very welcoming to my transition to Edinboro, wouldn’t have wanted to spend my last season with anyone else. And another special thanks to @chris_vargo_92 and @jared__mcgill for helping me keep my head on straight all season.
Macho out!
It’s not about the destination, but about who you become in the process.
