THINGS TO DO IN MONTAUK - and surroundings Memorial Day weekend is almost here - meaning summer is here. In case you are planning escaping the city for a day or a weekend for the next months, here are some things to do in Montauk - with some other suggestions in the Hamptons area. 🚨Montauk Point Lighthouse - there are hiking trails and a beautiful area to explore around the lighthouse. There’s also a cafe in the area. It reminds me of the series The Affair. 🍷Wölffer Estate Vineyard @wolfferwine located in Sagaponack, it is such a beautiful winery. You can have some wine and bites and just enjoy. 🍽️ Navy Beach @navybeachmontauk beautiful waterfront restaurant in Montauk. ☀️Sunset Beach – make sure to explore the Gosman’s Dock area and then check this this beach to watch the sunset. 🌮668 The Gig Shack @668thegigshack – this restaurant is located on the “main street” in Montauk and it’s such a delight. They have an outdoor area and it’s really good to sit there on a sunny and warm day. 🚲 Rent a bike - there are some spots in Montauk to rent one and it’s such a delight to explore the area riding a bike. 🏩The Surf Lodge @thesurflodge – It’s one of the most famous spots in Montauk and guess what? It was founded by a Brazilian, Jayma Cardoso. It is a boutique hotel, but even if you do not stay, you can enjoy the vibe of the place at the restaurant or at the bar. You can also spend some time at the beaches - but for me Montauk is about the vibes. I mean, I’m from Brazil, so the beaches in the Hamptons don’t impress me lol.
