Is Madeira on your travel bucket list? 🇵🇹 This little island has so much to offer. You have black sand beaches, natural rock pools, mountains to climb, over road water falls, amazing food, and coast lines that are beautiful around every corner. When you start planning your trip here I’d suggest a week to explore the whole island. Look at having a base in Funchal and renting a car. Seeing as the island is really small, you can drive in almost any direction in about an hour or so. The whole island is connected by hundreds of tunnels with stunning views every time you come out of them. One of the coolest parts of the island is that the airport was built on giant pillars. There really isn’t any flat ground, while you’re driving to the east end of the island, you drive right under the runway! One of my favourite spots we visited were the black sand beaches. Located on the North West side of the island, you could think of splitting your accommodations between Funchal and Porto Moniz. So who’s adding Madeira to their travel list? 🎥 @jj.trailwalker
