@_adventureswithsyd 1873.7mi . . . The sun made an appearance y’all! I had never been so excited to see the sun in my life. I literally laid on a rock outside the hut just to bask in the warmth before we left in the morning. Today we hiked the presidential range. It was beautiful. The clouds peeled back to reveal the gorgeous mountains it had been hiding the last few days. We stopped at the Lake of the Clouds Hut where the 4 of us downed like 5lbs of turkey cause the girl that worked there was desperately trying to get rid of it. Mt. Washington was insane. It was so windy and cold and there were so many people. Like we waited in line to get a picture with the sign. Waited in line with people who rode the train up. I’m like is there a fast pass line for the people who have walked 1860 miles to get here? We quickly escaped the zoo of people and started making our way over the last 3 peaks. Took a painfully long decent off Mt. Madison that I thought would never end. Sprinted the last 5 miles to Pinkham Notch Visitor Center where we met some family friends, the Whitney’s, who rescued us from the trail. It was so late but they had the most yummy fruit cups and cheese and drinks. When we got back to the house we all showered while Linda made delicious homemade pizza and finished it off with a bowl of ice cream.
