Sometimes in life it can seem like we are losing, failing even in the direct path of harm. I was up talking to God last night and he comforted me in a way that I hadn’t experienced before. As I cried out to him, even in my suffering he reminded me that staying close to him would ensure that I’d be covered. Have you ever been in need and had a friend or someone say to you...”don’t worry, I got you”. That completely shifts the burden or obligation, whatever it is, from you to them. God is trying to nudge many of us, to give him our burdens and worries to him and he will hide us under his wings of protection, comfort and offer everlasting healing, joy and true fulfillment. In order to experience him this way it takes a full surrender. The closer I get to God, the less I want anything else to be my resolve, in this life. If you’re experiencing the heaviness of the cares in this life, or feeling the pains of despair and discontentment I urge you to find time to get in the presence of God so that he can show you what it is to be covered by his love, grace and presence.
