- “To LOVE, honour, cherish. Through sickness and health. For richer and for poorer-’til death do US part!” Darden-Keiver spoke those vows 8 years ago today. In those 8 years, we’ve had the opportunity to LIVE/LOVE through ALL of these promises. It has not been easy, and both of us have wanted (several times) to give up. But, even the rough times strengthened our FOREVER. I’ve learned in 8 years what TRUE forgiveness, empathy and compromise really is. We’ve traveled the world TOGETHER. (Right now we’re in Croatia) We’ve celebrated wins, and navigated our way out of the swamplands of devastating losses. We’ve ALMOST figured out one another’s “LOVE language.” Almost. (Check back on the 10th anniversary to see if we’ve mastered it😂😂😂) I’ve BLESSED him with a lot of SOUL, and he’s willingly shared his logistical way of LIVING with me. He gardens, I watch trash reality television. He is a monarchist, and I am a Kinging Queen💅🏾. He is my “ying” and I’m gladly his “yang.” Our marriage is OURS! How we choose to conduct our relationship is unique to Darden-Keiver. It works for us. That’s all that matters. I grind his nerves, and he knows EVERY button of mine to push. We both pout, have a cocktail and get over it. We CELEBRATE today!!! In that celebration, I can’t ignore the pain that my Sister and Niece must be experiencing today, as it’s also the 1 year anniversary of our Nephew, Nyreon Beasley’s death. Pray for our FAMILY as they continue to try and LIVE absent of my “Chicken Nugget.” Happy 8th Wedding Anniversary Mitchell Alan Darden-Keiver!!!
