SAN FRANCISCO CHINATOWN CRAWL š Part 2 Joining me on this 3 part series is Albert Cheng, a community leader beloved by all who meet him. This time, weāre jumping forward a few decades to visit the highly acclaimed R&G Lounge. Youāll probably first notice this spot because of the loitering crowd outside their front steps. Their food is so good, itās caught the attention from the likes of Ali Wong (@aliwong), Padma Lakshmi (@padmalakshmi), and Anthony Bourdain. Donāt be fooled, this place is anything BUT a tourist trap, and is a family owned business passed down from father to daughter. HEREāS WHAT WE ORDERED Live Crab with Salt & Pepper. This dish is straight up addictive. With a crispy, fried layer around the crab shell that gives you the perfect kick of salt when you need it, combined with the fresh and tender crab meat, you really canāt beat a dish like this. Baked Chilean Sea Bass. This perfectly cooked piece of fish will leave you salivating for more. Its texture is smooth and buttery, and the flavor has a pop of umami from the special glaze while still remaining semi-neutral from the tame flavors of the sea bass itself. Beef Brisket & Turnip in a Clay Pot. This is what I would call comfort in a bowl. Fresh, clean, and hearty, this dish is perfect to eat on a cold San Francisco day (which we all know can be any day of the year). šR&G Lounge, 631 Kearny St SF 94108 ā° Open Sun - Thurs from 11am to 8:45pm and Fri - Sat from 11am - 9:15pm #sanfranciscofoodie #sffoodie #bayareafood #visitsanfrancisco #sftiktok #sanfranciscofoodguide #sanfranciscofood Things to do in San Francisco.
