VENICE PRIDE it sure was fun to paint live on the boardwalk for @venice.pride over the weekend with a mic in my hand narrating my process. i have been trying to dissolve the distinctions between my art practice and my platform as a drag performer, and this project was a perfect blend of the two. i like being able to explain my decision making process and i love being able to hop in the ocean after and work on my asymmetrical tan. the plot of land i was working on got nicknamed the assy knoll for obvious reasons. thank you @queermoment for the canvasses - i still need to fetch a couple of these paintings from the westside; if you have a van or large suv and the inclination, can i buy you gas and lunch to help me get them back to my studio? thank you.
