little story time. I’ve last been here about 7/8 years ago, same exact spot – completely different point of life. Having direct comparison, I can’t help but to think of what a fundamentally different person I’ve grown into. Back then, being part-time depressed (lol, weren’t we all as teens?), in a toxic relationship, battling an eating disorder, absolutely hating my skin and bones, my mind circling around nothing but self hatred and confusion about how others make it look so easy. I’ve always been an over-thinker, over-doubter, over-giver, over-lover, over-critique and I’ve often felt, even as a teen, carrying the depth of mind of a mid-40. And now the pointe — it really does apply what they say: you become so much more at peace and in tune getting older. At least if you put the effort into it. If you work on yourself. If you – gently, but thoroughly – constantly reflect on yourself. If you start to learn what’s really worth being serious about and where to just let lose a little. Feeling at home in yourself is the best gift you can ever give yourself. It’s the best gift I ever gave me. Life can be so luscious if you just let it.
