33,000. That’s 33,000 Tennessee FFA members, 33,000 chances to make an impact, and 33,000 reasons I am beyond grateful to be selected to serve as the 2025-2026 Tennessee FFA State Reporter. This is an opportunity to give back to the organization that has shaped me into the person I am today. Walking into Gatlinburg two days early, I had no idea just how much this week would change my life. From a fire alarm going off in the middle of our contest to winning both my agricultural communications proficiency and CDE, every moment felt surreal. Getting my state degree was special, but so were the little things, like cramming 40 chapter members into a hotel room for a meeting. Late night ice cream runs after long days, reuniting with friends I don’t see often, and having my mom and aunt there to cheer me on made everything even more meaningful. And then, standing on that stage, after hearing my name get called, I looked at the seven people beside me, my best friends, and knew this was just the beginning. Through every high, every low, and every moment, the Lord has given me peace, and for that, I am so, so thankful. Tennessee FFA, let’s do this!
