Climate change is creating extreme, year round wildfire conditions— Monday Dec 19th, 2022 the Sunshine Canyon wildfire started in a structure in the 2900 block of Sunshine Canyon Drive, forced the evacuation of almost 1,000 people in Pine Brook Hills and the area west of Foothills Community Park. The remaining evacuation order affects 167 homes, according to the news release. It was just last year in Boulder at this time Dec. 30, 2021 the Marshall fire sparked and more than 1,000 homes burned down in the fire and more than a hundred others were damaged.
