Devon has opened up about what went down👀 Devon Carlson and The Neighbourhood’s Jesse Rutherford rocked the internet when they split in 2021 after 6+ years of dating, during which time they had a very public relationship, frequently appearing in posts and videos together, in addition to attending high profile events and collaborating on projects together. Many of The Neighbourhood’s songs were also inspired by their relationship, with Devon even appearing in some of their music videos. The mystery surrounding their breakup plagued fans and followers, as from their public image they had always projected an air of bliss and happiness, so to many fans the breakup appeared to come out of nowhere. Flash forward to now, and Devon has opened up about what went down to the Call Her Daddy podcast, saying: “Obviously I was in a relationship for a very long time, a public relationship and we had the most mutual breakup ever and we still are totally chill and friends, and supportive of each other and whatever. But then I was like ‘Holy f*ck I’m single!’ for the first time in my entire life.” She also shared they had had one non-public breakup before their final, public breakup, saying: “We dated, we broke up and then we got back together and that was the seven year.” Devon confirmed she is now in an exclusive relationship with someone new, after a “wild” year of being single following her breakup.
