I’m trying to catch up on some cover manis and reviews from earlier in the year, which means it’s time to rave about THE CHANGE by @kirstenmillerbooks! This delightfully stabby story scratched a deep (read: insatiable) itch for female characters who create their own rules. Like, if I could live in a book, THE CHANGE is a serious contender. Think Practical Magic meets SVU (minus the procedural bits). These characters embraced their power and magic with intention for the greater good, yes, but not in a wholly altruistic manner (woot!!) Oh to be able to conjure obstacles for whose who have earned them, and then deliver said obstacles in fitting and deadly ways. The dream!! So yeah, get THE CHANGE in your brain as soon as humanly possible and then pass it along to whoever needs it next. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 ALSO.
