Fifteen years ago, I walked away from Sisters Chapel not knowing just how far the Spelman Sisterhood would carry me. Last week, we returned—back to hallowed ground. The sacred space that shaped us, held us, and taught us to believe we could do ANYTHING. In a world that so often tries to diminish and attack Black women - our voices, our bodies, our intellect - Spelman has always been our refuge. I’m forever grateful for the protection and nurturing of those walls. I take fundraising seriously because Spelman transformed my life. I worked on campus to help with tuition (shoutout to Read Hall), received scholarships, and witnessed firsthand how every single dollar creates opportunity. That’s why I’m deeply proud that our class raised $206,031.89 💙 ••• Endless gratitude to Big Silv, who encouraged me to apply and planted a seed that began a new legacy in our family. @Kusha_Please, thanks for being my favorite copy cat.
