Are these kids learning, playing or both!? Both! For this #ThrowbackThursday, we’re taking a field trip to cutest kindergarten ever designed! This open-air, circular school in Japan was designed specifically to encourage learning (and risk taking!) in a safe environment. By working with the school and the local government, architect Takaharu Tezuka built a kindergarten unlike any other — one where classrooms don’t have walls and kids can climb trees, run, and even play on the (not very high) roof! They can even ski in the winter! But does that distract them from learning or growing? No! In fact, it helps them build strong bodies *and* minds because it allows kids to move freely and learn larger lessons about being safe and connected in the world. “Kids need a small dosage of danger,” he says. “They need to tumble sometimes; that makes them learn how to live in this world.” Visit the link in our bio to watch the full talk and see all the fun features and photos of kids in this video!
PS – Would you ever want to go to a school like this?
