In order to contribute to the Art & Design world we partnered with emerging artist Pieter van den Bergh to upcycle 100 skate decks. Pieter van den Bergh, otherwise known as Piroeh, is on a mission to deconstruct the graffiti tag. Not only as an insight into the rich cultural history of this radical art form but as a reflection of the greats that came before him. Inspired by artists like Jean- Michel Basquiat, Mark Rothko, and Keith Haring, he established his practice at the intersection between neo-expressionism, pop, and street art. Upcycling skate decks serves as an opportunity to spark the imagination and encourage creative thinking in our youth and that’s why we’re very proud to team up with aspiring artist, Piroeh, on this project.
