Encompassing 86 million acres of ecologically critical forest across Ecuador and Peru, Amazon’s Sacred Headwaters are home to the continent’s largest population of jaguars, including the elusive and endangered black jaguar. This rare genetic variant is thought to affect roughly a tenth of the jaguar population and serves as a reminder of the mysterious beauty of nature.
