It was completely transformed. The time and effort she had put into decorating the room was obvious – this was no ramshackle affair. She hoped to attract a classy sort of patron.�� Damask couches, wingback chairs and delicate lamps made the room feel both comfortable and expensive (even if she had sourced most of the items secondhand, or from her own apartment). Anna arranged the white tea-roses resting on the bar top. An extravagant expense, but they had been her mother's favorite and always brought her luck. James walked through what was now the front door to the speakeasy, holding a broom.�� "All set?" he asked. �"As ready as we're ever going to be," she said, nodding.
