I know you’re thinking “why on earth would you use a city backdrop to promote your folk horror short story set in New Zealand” but bear with me here, my photoshop skills aren’t good enough to merge this book with a New Zealand picture so my current NYC location will have to do😤 and speaking of which, if you’re also glancing out the window and seeing the city, you should come to the in-person New York EVENT at @astoriabookshop to celebrate the launch of The Gathering Dark!!! this book edited by @toribovalino comes out TOMORROW, all the stories are so delightfully creepy (if I do say so myself), and if you preorder you’ll get a cute lil signed bookplate with all the authors (and if you’re the chosen one you might get the bookplate I accidentally smudged beyond comprehension so that it says C̵c̴c̷c̴c̸ ̷G̷o̸o̶o̷ instead... but that’s kind of on theme with the anthology)
