June 1st was my first day at Atom Factory, so today represented 5 years of working with Troy Carter. That’s 5 years of listening to, learning from and loving the black community, while becoming educated on the reality of the privilege automatically granted onto anyone who isn’t black. I used to think... my immigrant family’s American Dream came true, our parents sacrificed everything for us and we’ve come so far. But it hasn’t, we haven’t. As long as our black brothers and sisters keep being systemically brutalized, whether last week with George Floyd, last last month with Breonna Taylor or 28 years ago with Rodney King, my American Dream remains unrealized. I have to use my voice — I stand proudly with the black community. With my black founders, colleagues, artists and friends. With my fellow allies and teammates who also stand besides you, recruiting others to also be biased towards action against injustice. We’ve had enough. I’ve had enough. #blacklivesmatter
