I WENT TO FUCKING CANNES?!?!?! How is that a real sentence. I have been dreaming of Cannes for YEARS. I literally put it on my vision board. To go with Tiktok was the most full circle moment. This platform changed my life. It was the first time I ever felt like my opinions really mattered. It gave me the chance to quit my 9 to 5 job and chase my dreams. I owe everything I have to Tiktok. I owe everything I have to you! Your willingness to just listen to me yap about art has changed my life in ways I cannot even fathom. How does one even think about where to go from here?? My dream is to prove that fandom is the future of entertainment. I love being a fan! I love loving things! We are all a fan of something, and we find the deepest community with the people we share that love and passion with. Movies, music and art are not some trivial thing, but THE most culturally defining aspect of society. So why aren’t we creating more spaces to discuss these things we all love intellectually? I want Nicky at Night to be that place! The place 12 year old Nicky running an O2L stan twitter would have loved to be. The place an aspiring artist doesn’t feel weird about sharing their work, but excited because they know everyone else here is working on something cool & creative too! I think we are getting there.
