‘Lobeda or the Reconstruction of a World’, a solo show by Sabine Moritz is currently on view at Lyonel-Feininger Galerie in Quedlinburg. The exhibition showcases around 130 drawings, colour studies, paintings and photographs based on the artist's memories of living in the prefabricated city of Neulobeda, Jena from 1973 to 1981. Moritz has said that she associates that time with the feeling of being lost: "Everything was the same everywhere - the entrances, elevators and corridors hardly differed. As a child, I was afraid at first, but not anymore, to find the right house."
