This piece is supposed to capture the beauty of northern lakes during a sunset 🌅 the way plants, insects and other life hug the water is really beautiful. It will always remind me of time in Temagami last summer, one of my favourite places on earth! This piece is really special to me. It’s part of a Great Lakes Series I’m working on - I’m feeling really inspired by and connected to Northern Ontario at the moment! And it comes at the perfect time, because starting August 6th the original of this piece (a 36x48” canvas) will be at @bingemans for a couple weeks, alongside the works of other really great Indigenous artists. Highly recommend coming by and checking it out. 🌞 it’s hard to capture in a digital version, but the original painting is outlined by a beautiful metallic copper paint that glistens in the light, and has so much life to it in person.
