“Pretty in Jesus”🖤... for my girls, this is what the Holy Spirit put on my heart for us that I felt led to share. • I’m just a girl, I like to wear pretty things, Travel to pretty places, Take the pretty pictures, Soaking in what the world sure brings, Unaware of how not pretty sin can sting, Disguising itself as what seems pretty, But I cannot see myself as pretty, Unless I see what is pretty in my King. But I’m just a girl, Who loves to show off what mama gave, Modesty doesn’t seem to be an option, When it seems men view the girls who show more skin, as the ones to crave, Finding herself being a girl stuck between getting an attention others seem to rave, Then finding herself as sin’s slave, Versus covering her temple in protecting eyes of man, Valuing the body God died for, And rose up from the grave. God I’m just a girl, Wandering aimlessly in this pretty world, Yet I’m pretty broken, Some nights in bed I’m layed up, All curled, Evilness feels so cold, And my thoughts get so swirled. While Your one thought of me, Is one that is eternally pearled. That I may be just a girl, But I’m Your girl. Not pulling me away any further, From where you exactly meet me, Demons can surround my desires and thoughts, But God you run and plee, “That is my girl, my daughter”, Satan you won’t take her, For in her is My will to be, And you can’t defeat that of God Almighty, Taking the hits of evil, To ensure in Him my eternal victory.
