A little of everything! Change is hard but when you surrender to it, it can be beautiful. So grateful for all the love and support my friends and family continue to show me. I’ve been journaling more and wrote this the other day: I am on a road with no destination, but as I place one foot in front of the other, my heart feels harmony. I stop to admire the hummingbirds drinking from red flowers and wonder about their heart beat. I watch the sun disappear behind a curtain of clouds. I am headed nowhere because there is no rush. All I need is within me, to be present is the key. Listen to the storms forming inside of me, open the windows of my heart to let them breathe. Allow the wind to flow free and hear the words they trying to whisper to me. Embrace the clouds with sympathy because in the horizon of despair and compassion rays of hope shine. I am on a road to nowhere but along the way, I meet souls lost just like me. We pause to chat, our reflections gleaming in our pupils. We hold hands and learn to breathe. We speak about our pain but celebrate the beauty of the path we are walking in. We wave our goodbyes and wish for our paths to meet again. Joy is in the small things; in a wrinkle of a smile, a salty tear, a warm embrace. Heavy questions anchor for answers in the deepest parts of me, yet I still find the strength to place one foot in front of the other trying to not focus on the destination but on the dirt that brushes against my feet. -the road to inner peace is called presence
