Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is very proud to announce that John Caldon has been hired to be its first ever Executive Director. In his role as Executive Director, Caldon will execute the event’s core mission while establishing and implementing the organization’s strategic vision. Though he will be new to the team, Caldon is experienced as a leader of large events that deeply connect to the San Francisco community. Currently, he is the Managing Director of the San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center, one of the largest performing arts centers in the U.S., comprised of the War Memorial Opera House, Davies Symphony Hall, and Veterans Building. At the War Memorial, he has led the strategic vision, financial planning, operations, and DEI initiatives – all roles that he will focus on at HSB. Welcome to the team John!
