Last couple days- flew to Minneapolis and bought this all original 21k miles 1983 shovelhead FXRT. About 1500 ever made in the T. Either way, it’s getting ridden all the way home instead of sitting inside a showroom or a store window somewhere. Staying off the interstate the whole way and seeing the road with some time solo. It’s the most comfortable bike I’ve ever spent time on. I think the first half of the first day I was laughing the whole time, probably looked ridiculous. Take the great river road along the Mississippi River if you can, not a bad mile... seriously. Played tag with storms today and got ahead of it from my campsite at 4:30am but the gas station TV this morning said “tornado” somewhere so I got a motel just before a downpour. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa so far. Absolutely beautiful. Dear diary...
