Did you know the monarch butterfly has entered the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species—threatened by habitat destruction and climate change? Monarch caterpillars feed exclusively on the leaves of milkweed. We’ve thus planted many varieties of milkweed throughout our gardens to help cast a respite for these migratory butterflies.
