It’s a fortunate time in life when you begin to see the significance of a moment before it passes. That is what happened for me within weeks of beginning to film “Winning Time”. I knew that this would be a project so special and unique that it would have a lasting impact on both my personal and professional life. There isn’t enough space to properly articulate the commroddery and support from my colleagues, the crew and the cast that made this show great. Kate, @k8biscoe, you put together a team that was no egos & all talent. You held space for us to create, to succeed & fail, to grow without judgment, to stretch our wings and bring our best. Grateful doesn’t begin to describe how I feel to have been included in this group. Corinne, @mrsmakeupfx, you were the friend & colleague I didn’t know I needed. Daily, I was inspired watching the graceful dance you performed orchestrating & running this show. It was a job that was often overlooked & unthanked, but your coordinating of the massive number of MUA’s that we had working each day was imperative to the success and the overall look of the show. On top of those talents, you are an incredible artist! With each nuanced application and make up you did, I learned new ways to analyze and use colors. The numerous conversations we had scrutinizing & attempting to perfect each make up application is one of the greatest reasons I grew so much as an artist. Ultimately, even though you have impacted my professional life, it is your friendship that value most after our time in the trenches. To the rest of the make up team - You were the best of the best to be in the trenches with! We supported each other in ways I’ve never seen in this industry, but I hope becomes the standard.
