Over the last five weeks, we have been celebrating Best for the World by sharing information about each impact area of the B Impact Assessment. This week, we're diving deep into the Environment section. This section evaluates a company’s overall environmental management practices as well as its impact on the air, climate, water, land, and biodiversity. This includes the direct impact of a company’s operations and, when applicable its supply chain and distribution channels. The companies that have been recognized as #BFTW2022 in the Environment category are putting the planet first. Here's some of the practices have helped them be the best: 🌳 Having products or services that improve natural environments (e.g. company reforestation initiatives) 🗑️ Having products or services that prevent pollution (e.g. pollution management technologies) 📦 Having a company policy that requires freight / shipping via lowest impact methods 💡 Monitoring and recording company energy use and creating energy reduction goals 💧 Using water conservation methods in offices (e.g. using low flow faucets, low volume irrigation, harvest rainwater)
