Quite often, I am asked: “What is your most memorable interview” since you first started BoF? This is obviously a very tough question as I have had the honour of interviewing so many fascinating and smart people, listening to their stories and struggles, and asking for advice on how to succeed in life and work. But if I am forced to choose, I usually come back to the interview I conducted with Yohji Yamamoto back in 2016. I’ve been thinking about this interview recently, especially since the passing of Issey Miyake, a few weeks ago. I have been reflecting on the lessons and advice that Yohji shared with me, and thought it was a good moment to have another listen — and for those of you who are more recent followers of The BoF Podcast to perhaps listen to it for the first time.
