‘avesta khani reggaeton’ was released 3 yrs ago today :) This track I feel like epitomizes the concept of my mixtape Mahur Club, where I wanted to songs to feel like you were in a car in Iran zooming around with the windows down - playing a cassette loud while the sounds from the city melded with the music. For this track you past by - the sounds of Azan (public prayer blasting from the mosques speakers) mixing in with the reggaeton beats to create for a brief moment something new & unexpected before it disappears into the streets & is replaced by someone playing the violin & singing far off For Mahur club I would make lil videos in iMovie to try to create that feeling of driving & blending Thank you to @bizaarbazaar & @bergsonist for premiering this track & @astralplanerecordings for releasing it into the world :)
