For those who don't qualify/can’t wait for SIV/P2 Visas, *Humanitarian Parole is a viable option. HOWEVER, each application costs $575 just to process. For a family of 5, that's almost $3000. That's a huge barrier to preservation of life and safety. There are everyday people out there like you and me paying those fees for friends, family members and even strangers, and organizations are spending upwards of $50k -- money that could be used toward other things like resettlement, etc. We are desperately asking @uscis and congress to push the @statedept for an emergency fee waiver and trying to use socials as a means of pressure. Can you please help spread the word using #waivetheHPfee? *HP is usually only for one year and while it allows for lawful presence in the United States, the parolee technically remains an applicant for admission. Parole does not confer immigration status and does not provide a path to permanent residency or the ability to obtain lawful immigration status. However, a parolee may be able to obtain lawful status in the United States through other means. Thank you @iserinakhan for bringing to my attention. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡«πŸ€ŽπŸ™πŸ½
